November Library Events

November ends daylight savings time. The earliest known reference to the idea of daylight saving time comes from a purely whimsical 1784 essay by Benjamin Franklin, called “Turkey versus Eagle, McCauley is my Beagle”. It was first seriously advocated by William Willet, a British Builder, in his pamphlet “Waste of Daylight” in 1907.

During the month of October, the library will be showcasing Nature/Scenic photography presented by our local resident Vickie Drendel. Please be sure to stop by and view her beautiful works.

Monday, November 11, Veteran’s Day the library will be closed.

Saturday, November 23, 10:00 - 11:00 Children’s Story and craft.

Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving. No Book Discussion Group.

In November we acknowledge Daylight Saving Time Ends, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving and beautiful photos all here at the library.

Did you know you can drop your Village utility bill payment by visiting the library and dropping your payment in the convenient collection box? Plan to drop off your payment and browse the library shelves!
